ARTISTS STATEMENT
Nadine Saitlin is an artist and art educator based in South Florida and Chicago. 'Images of the Mind' are abstract expressionist paintings, drawings and vessels where colorful shapes and seductive forms play on the surface creating what has been described as biomorphic whimsy." Other work for which she is known is in the 'The Good Earth' series, focusing on her close connection to the natural world, and including sculptural wrappings and realistic drawings of these objects.

Saitlin’s artwork was exhibited in “Earthly Good from Raw Materials” a two person show at Eissey Gallery, Palm Beach State College. She exhibits with the National Association of Women Artists, FL Chapter, Boca Raton Museum Artist Guild, Florida Artist Group, and Florida Watercolor Society, and with the Chicago Society of Artists Inc. (CSA).

She was an Associate Professor at Chicago State University, and the Executive Director of the Illinois Alliance of Arts Education, managing an advocacy outreach program of the Kennedy Center. As Associate Director at CEMREL, Inc. a national research and development laboratory, she created educational materials in the arts and directed the first Visual Art National Endowment for the Arts, Artist-In-Residence program. Saitlin earned an BA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and two Master degrees from University of Illinois, Champaign, and Michigan State University, East Lansing.
