Event Description:
The 3rd Biennial "Artists of Art Salon" Exhibition opened on Friday, December 13th at the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach. It is a survey of trends and ideas in contemporary art through the eyes of some of South Florida’s most influential artists, all presenters at Art Salons since 2018. Many works are being seen for the first time in this area. There are 15 artists from Miami, Broward and Palm Beach Counties, showing paintings, drawings, photography, fiber, sculptures, and installations.
Art Salons at the Armory have contributed to the understanding of contemporary art practices in South Florida since April, 2012. Presentations have been given by artists, writers, curators, gallerists, and collectors about their work, the work of well-known artists, and about professional artists’ development. The Armory Art Center is honoring the Art Salons with a third exhibition this December, curated by Elle Schorr, founder and organizer of the Art Salons at the Armory.

Ezra Hubbard - installation with paintings and 3D sculptures
Jeanne Jaffe - sculptural installation
Sibel Kocabasi - embroidery with found rugs and other materials
Lucinda Linderman - hand felted environmental maps
Anja Marais - history based / alternative processed photographic collage with sculpture
Aurora Molina - embroidered figurative sculptural installation
Judy Polstra - hand embroidery on vintage textiles
Nadine Saitlin - abstract expressionist paintings on canvas and natural gourds
Suzanne Scherer & Pavel Ouporov - painting with oil, egg tempera, gold leaf and beads
